The main difference between wheeled and crawler loader is that wheeled skid steer has strong maneuverability, can achieve 360° steering on the spot, and has flexible steering, but has a large ground contact pressure, and is easy to get stuck and slip on wet muddy or soft soil, so it is more suitable for hard ground operations such as roads and indoors.

The crawler type has strong off-road ability and large climbing ability. It is not easy to sink or slip on wet muddy or soft soil, is less affected by terrain, and has better passability. In terms of operating and maintenance costs, wheeled skid steer loaders use high-wear-resistant tires, while crawler types use rubber crawler tracks. The maintenance costs of rubber crawler tracks and their frame structures are higher than those of wheeled types, but the service life of rubber crawler tracks is longer than that of tires, so the frequency of use is also an important consideration.
